I finally got one!
 

I've been trying to find a good clean round from Numismatic Investments of Ohio. It's a local history thing. I walked into the local coin shop on impulse and he had one. I got it for $13 plus tax. It's beautiful, still in its plastic sealed envelope with just a touch of patina.

Now for the fun part. The coin shop owner had just bought the round from the old couple still standing there looking over the numismatic collectables. I bought it on the spot and 30 seconds after that another person came in looking for bullion. Had I been a minute later or a few minutes earlier, I'd have missed out.

I'd have missed out because IT WAS THE ONLY PIECE OF BULLION IN THE SHOP!!! This dealer always had about 50 or so pieces of generic silver in his junk drawer. Sappy Christmas rounds, ugly Lady Libertys, once and a while, you could get an Engalhard Prospector. The closest he had was some Eagles at $18 each and there were only 5 of those. So where's all the Silver?

In private hands.
If you want them in "your" private hands you have to pay market price not spot price.

And STRONG PRIVATE HANDS TO BOOT........ only the fools or the desperate are selling now that is why the market is bone dry.
